I've been working on a few cross stitch patterns of stuff I've said or my friends have said because we say some ridiculous things. I've drawn them out in a notebook of grid paper. I would love to share them.
Problem: I don't have a fancy pattern making program. I don't have a scanner.
Question: Is there anyway I can make my patterns on the computer without a pattern making program?
I'm putting a program on my xmas list. What are some good programs?

my eventual tattoo
I love Miss Piggy. She's crazy. She loves with her whole heart. She's not afraid to put herself out there. She's her own biggest cheerleader. And she can kick some ass when she needs to. I definitely think she's a wonderful role model. I've loved her since I was little. I wanted someone to draw a pin up style of her so I can get it tatted on me. I finally decided to do it myself. My drawing skills aren't as bad as I thought they are. I did trace her body though. I took a picture of a pin up at Disneyland. Next time you ride Roger Rabbit's ride, see if you can spot it while in line. Her face is entirely free hand so it doesn't look exactly like her. Ok, here she is:

Renegade Recap
So this last weekend was Renegade Craft Fair LA. My mom and I went last year and fell in love. We decided to go every year. It's always a blast. This year, we took my little cousin and younger brother. Mom and I decided it'll be just us from now on. Here are some photos:
I made this shirt.
Coolest little boy there. Loved the gold pants.
Yes. This is THE Jenny Hart. The brains behind Sublime Stitching.
A lot of vendors were working on crafts while there.
Brother and I. I am the short one of the family.

I cant believe I never posted these!
I made my boyfriend this blanket for his birthday 1year ago. It's appliqued fleece. The logo is of my boyfriend's truck club, Freaks of Nature.
I made this pumpkin for last Halloween. I was inspired by Food Network Challenge when they were carving extreme pumpkins. mine wasn't extreme, though. Maybe this year.
I made this ladybug last summer. I stuffed the wings too much.
The blank tree is a pincushion. The decorated tree is for decoration. Both fleece. Made the garland out of heart charms and a plastic necklace.
I made this awesome bag for a craft fair my mom participated in. It didn't sell. I was sad.
I got my Martha on for my brother's 16th birthday. Mini pumpkins on a cake plate wrapped in Halloween wire garland.
His cake. cupcake eyes, mini marshmallows for teeth, white chocolate skulls around base, chocolate layer cake with mouth hole cut out. Actually the mouth hole got stuck to the pan.
I will post more as I find them.

Back to work
I was in Idaho for a few days to see baby Raegan. She's such a good baby. She hardly cries. I got left alone with her for a half hour but we both survived.
See! She loves me.
Our hands are so different.
So, Kiley [her mom/my bff] is obsessed with frogs. Kind of like how I love pigs. Only more. Well, we might actually be neck and neck. Anyway, Baby's room is decked out in frogs. I made this frog embroidery for her. She loved it. Satin stitches, split stitches, back stitches, French knots.
I saw this gem during my "tour" of Boise.
My little brother got back from a school trip to China around the same time. He brought me back a painting by a Chinese student.
It's so me.

WIP
I just finished a gift for my friend's son. A silhouetted guitar. He's turning 7 and "very comfortable with his manhood". Hence the color choice.

I have made very little progress on the girt for my friend's newborn. But I still have a week. and if I can sew on the flight, that would help. Am I allowed to take needles on a plane?

It's been a busy few days!
It's been a fun filled 2 days.
On Wednesday, the boyfriend and I went to the J. Paul Getty Museum, the Page Museum, and, wait for it...
The Craft and Folk Art Museum!!
At the Getty, we walked the garden and the exhibits. Same at the Page. The Page museum has a fishbowl lab where you can watch the workers work with the bones the find in the La Brea tar pits.
Now, if you ever come to Los Angeles, every crafter needs to go to the Craft and Folk Art Museum. We weren't supposed to take pictures but I didn't see the sign til we were about to leave. Oops.
The museum is amazing. There were only 2 artists featured but it was so cool! The other artist is Jennifer Angus. Her installation is called All Creatures Great and Small. She used real bugs and pinned them to walls in designs, put the heads on wax clothes, made different scenes in doll houses. Everything was just cool. The shop had a bunch of handmade goodies from local artisans. It was just too bad LACMA was closed. They have a Tim Burton exhibit.
Ok. Yesterday after work, my mom and I went to the Canoga Park Artwalk. They're doing it once a month until September. There was a few different gallery spaces open with a ton of different artists. There was live music and FOOD TRUCKS!!! I had an amazing cupcake . One of the best cupcakes I've ever had. Unfortunately I didn't get her card. Next time for sure. The food truck we ate at is called The Greasy Wiener. Totally amazing. I highly recommend the bacon cheese fries and the bomb. I died and went to hot dog heaven.
I got some new artwork. by these artists :
The Art of Sketch
Diana Levin Illustration
Melanie Crosgrove
Their stuff is pure magic.the whole event was organized by 11:11 - I of the Arts. A great organization in the San Fernando Valley.

Best exhibit name EVER!
We got to add to this!
Mine is front and center.
This was outside.
